Woelk, Robert David
June 14, 1938 ~ January 2, 2024
The Lord called Robert home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, and was freed from his suffering and pain, reunited with his children that have gone before him.
He leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Susan, daughter Cindy (Rick) St. Pierre and grandchildren Joshua (Jen), Amanda (Jason), and Zane, of Edmonton, AB, daughter-in-law Caroline Woelk (Tony†) and grandchildren Crystal and Megan of Vancouver Island, B.C., his grandson, Kenneth Campbell-Woelk of Vimy, AB, and granddaughter Alexa Woelk of Wetaskiwin, AB, and great-grandchildren Aeja and Aiden Woelk.
Robert is predeceased by his sons Ken, Randy, and Tony and parents, George, and Katherine.
Throughout Robert’s life, a Christian living was especially important and gave him the most comfort throughout the many ups and downs that came he and Susan’s way as they experienced the loss of their children. As they began attending church in Daysland, they began to see changes and this is when Robert decided to accept Jesus as his savior on November 6, 2004, Susan also rededicated her life to Jesus the same day. After moving to Vimy nine years ago, Robert and Susan began attending the Westlock Alliance Church, continuing their dedication to the Church.
A Celebration of Life for Robert will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, 1:00 pm at the Westlock Alliance Church, 9607 100 Street, Westlock, AB.
Cremation has been entrusted to Westlock Funeral Home & Crematorium Ltd and interment will take place later in Westlock, AB
