George Sexty
It is with great sadness that the family of George Richard Sexty announce his peaceful passing at the age of 91.
He will be lovingly remembered by June Kandt, Joan (Charles) Navratil, Carol Adams & Brynne Towle.
George was a wonderful Grandad to his grandchildren: Daryl (Jolynn) Kandt, Michelle (Grant) Wolfe, Donna (Glenn) Ward, Jim (Colette) Navratil, Curtis (Lynne) Navratil, Lynn (Stacey) Trach, Robert (Shauna) Adams, Lindsay (Eric) Giese, Kaitlyn (Curt) Straub & Michael (Kaila) Towle.
He was blessed to be a part of so many great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids lives.
George is also survived by his brother, Robert (Sue) Sexty, and sister, Margaret Sexty.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Doreen Sexty; his parents, Bill and Connie Sexty; infant brother, John Sexty, daughter, Patricia Towle, and son-in-law, Don Kandt.
George enjoyed his many years spent on the family farm and always enjoyed when family came out to visit. He was very active in his church and in the community, served many years on the Westlock and District Agricultural Society, and kept active floor curling all around the County.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 2:00 pm, the Westlock Memorial Hall.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the many healthcare workers for their care and support during the past few months.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George’s memory to the Kidney Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
