Mary Elaine Pess (nee Tywoniuk)
1932 - 2023
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mary at the age of 90 years.
Mary is predeceased her parents, John and Mary; husband, Clarence; son, Randy; brothers, Les and Ted; sister- in-law, Pat Tywoniuk.
She is survived by her sons, Tracy and Barry; daughter-in-law, Cathy; grandchildren, Jason (Amanda), Derek, Kyle (Leanne), Aaron, Ashley, Sarah; great-grandchildren, Emerson, Merrick, Harrison, Juliette, Lily, Alice; sister-in-law, Ann Tywoniuk; and numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends who were near and dear to her.
Mary worked at numerous businesses in Barrhead up until her husband passed in 1991. Then she took on the job of a hockey Grandma following her boys around all winter and meeting many new friends from the Red Deer area. Mary had a great love for cats and dogs, she said she was never lonely she always had somebody to talk to and look after.
We would like to thank Dr. Bernes and his staff. Also the nurses and Dr’s at Barrhead Hospital along with Homecare for the help and care in her final months.
A Memorial Mass for Mary will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Anne’s RC Church.
