Donald Edward Boutin

April 8, 1953 - November 30, 2024

On November 30, 2024, our Dad, Donald, went to be with the love of his life, our Mom, Dorothy.

Dad was born on April 8, 1953, in Westlock, the 9th child of the late Rene and Kate Boutin.

June 5, 1982, Don married Dorothy Mosher in Dapp, AB. He also became our Dad that day, taking full dad duties to two little girls he loved as his own. Dad spent his years working at Alta Gas, until 2012, when Mom became sick again. He spent his last years in his favorite place in the world – his family’s acreage.

Dad is survived by we girls,Trina Landry-Boutin (Colin Parker), Kim Landry-Boutin (Chris Priestley); his grandchildren, Bryton Landry, Mackenzie (Zane) Meyn, Aden Priestley, Ryley, Kobe, and Ashlynne Evison, Chase and Rylan Parker; his beautiful great-granddaughters, Gracie-Rae, and Gabriella, Meyn, Aubrey, Scarlett, and Ella Landry.

He also leaves to mourn his passing, sister, Cathy Boutin; brothers, Earl and Allan; his best friend and nephew, Darrell Herrick; his brothers-in-law, Bud (Val) Mosher, John (Linda) Mosher, and Bill (Pauline) Sowers. Many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Dad was predeceased by our Mom, Dorothy; his parents, Rene and Kate; his parents-in-law, Bud and Mary Mosher; brothers, Sunny, Gerald, Victor, Maurice, and Louis; his sisters, Eleanor (Sis) Herrick, Yvonne Allarie, Leona Jussila, and Ann Prefontaine.

Our family would like to take this time to say thank you to everyone who has been involved in Dad’s care. Huge thank you to Darrell Herrick for everything he has done for Dad over the years and always being there, as well as Edward and Carol Wolff. So many days I would not have had peace of mind if you were not Dad’s neighbour.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation, in Dad’s name, to the Ben Stelter Foundation. As an avid hockey fan, Dad would be pleased.

In respecting Dad’s wishes, there will be no funeral. We will have a celebration of life in the warmer months.

We love you, Dad. Hug Mom for us.

Condolences may be shared at www.westlockfuneralhome.com.
