SWAN HILLS - No injuries occurred following an early morning explosion of an unoccupied Swan Hills home.
According to an RCMP media release, the explosion occurred on Pan Am Street at about 3:55 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 2. The release stated that preliminary information suggests the explosion resulted from a gas leak.
Although no one was injured in the blast, the RCMP release stated that multiple homes and vehicles were damaged. As a result of the explosion, the Swan Hills
Municipal Library opened its doors early, providing coffee and hot chocolate to those impacted.
The RCMP stated that they would send out another media release if and when more information is available.
