Barrhead, Westlock, and Athabasca are forecasted for a roller coaster weather ride this week with Monday forecasted to reach zero as a high temperature according to Environment Canada on their website.
“If you are ahead of the Clipper you warm up, behind the Clipper you cool down,” reported Chris Murphy, meteorologist with the Weather Network.
Monday late in the afternoon to evening could see freezing rain says Environment Canada.
This could cause a challenging ride home along some of the highways and roadways especially with temperatures staying steady at plus one.
Tuesday is forecasted with a high of up to six degrees although snow is forecasted for Tuesday evening with the temperatures to drop around -11 C.
Wednesday shows periods of snow forecasted all day with temperatures remaining near minus seven.
Thursday the snow drops off to a 40 per cent chance with the possibility of showers.
By Friday temperatures are forecasted to be back in the pluses.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday could be in the plus temperatures according to Environment Canada.
