CLYDE – The village has about $123,264 to collect in outstanding taxes. Of that amount, none of the arrears are two years or more and approximately $38,543 are in arrears for one year.
The report was prepared by the Village of Clyde’s finance department and was presented to Clyde council during their regular meeting on Oct. 21.
The village also has about $30,561 in utilities receivable that are over 30 days, which includes past due payment penalties.
In her report, Megan Brake, the village’s finance and executive assistant, said that the village continues to review all outstanding amounts and work with residents to make payment plans.
Lighting upgrades have been completed in the admin office, which is part of the village’s plan to become more energy efficient.
On a positive note, the village is seeing more development and is at 150 per cent over budget for Development Permit Application revenue.
In addition, revenue from campground fees has also increased and is at 111.73 per cent more than what the village had budgeted. This means that the village had a successful campground season, said Brake in her report.
