Rose Zatorski
February 11, 1944 - April 15, 2021
Rose Zatorski was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. On April 15, 2021, she passed away peacefully surrounded by love from family and friends.
She was born on February 11, 1944 and raised in the Athabasca area as the youngest of eight children. She attended UofA to earn a teaching degree and taught at Princeton School. She and her husband, Orest, moved to Grassland area and raised six children: Sandra, Jennifer, Glenn, Colleen, Kevin and Nathan. Her family and friends continued to expand over the years with each person having a special place in her heart.
Travelling brought Rose much joy and her sense of fun was the cause of many family adventures. She took pride in caring for the animals on the family farm and growing huge, beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. Many holidays throughout the years have brought family and friends back together around the kitchen table. Her cooking is unmatched to this day. Rose was also an incredibly creative person who enjoyed writing, drawing, and making beautiful things. She designed and sewed elaborate projects, winning awards for her Ukrainian dance costumes.
Rose always treasured the time spent with her family and friends; we are very lucky to have had her in our lives.
A private service was held on April 23, 2021 and Rose was laid to rest at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Prosperity, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stars Air Ambulance, 1441 Aviation Park NE, Box 570, Calgary, AB T2E 9Z9.
