RILLING, Philip
It is with very heavy hearts that the family of Philip Rilling of Cherhill, AB announce his passing on February 28 at the age of 51.
Phil will always be loved and remembered by his big sister, Leanna (Lloyd Gache) and his treasured niece, Lily Gache all of Sangudo, AB. Also remembering him are his Rilling and McDougall extended families as well as many wonderful friends and neighbors.
He was predeceased by his parents Nora in 2020 and Harry in 2013.
Phil was born, raised and remained a farmer for all of his life. He had a love for country life, the land and animals-especially his old cat Anderson. Phil attended Cherhill and Sangudo Schools and enjoyed reminiscing about those days with his friends. The city life also called to him from time to time where he made many lasting friendships. He was appreciated for his hard working ethic that always saw him ready to give a helping hand where needed. Playing hockey was one of his favorite pastimes with his friends where many good times were had. Phil had the unique ability to strike up a conversation with just about anyone anywhere, usually finding out some connection that they shared. His laughter, genuine honest nature and kindness will be so very missed by all.
Cremation has taken place.
