ISAAC, ROBERT (BOB)
Robert (Bob) Isaac was born to Alfred and Lorene Isaac on August 15, 1962. Bob met the Lord at the age of 16 years. Bob got married on January 20, 1985, to Brenda Goossen. We were married nearly 40 years.
Bob loved his life and found it hard to let it go and leave. He enjoyed working and lived simply. We were coming to a time of our life when things would get easier, but God had other plans for us. Many times, we’d pray and ask God to heal the pain and sickness. God said no and took him rather to be with him. The last while he’d often talk of wanting to meet Jesus and sing with the angels. His body was weary of pain.
Bob’s dear family meant so much to him, and the dear grandchildren. He would beg God to take care of them all.
Bob was a farmer by heart, enjoying his cow and calf operation. His desire was that we’d have enough feed for the cows when he would leave us. He accomplished that and had the farm ready.
Bob came from a family of seven siblings, and the gift of singing. His tenor won’t be forgotten.
He wished so much to meet his dear mother in heaven.
He will be dearly missed.
Bob will lovingly remembered by his wife, Brenda Isaac, and his beloved children: Janet Isaac (Westlock, AB), Dallas & Kristi Isaac (Westlock, AB), Neal & Tauny Isaac (Westlock, AB), Jared & Clarabelle Isaac (Westlock, AB), and Patrick & Nadine Isaac (Cherryville, BC), as well as his nine cherished grandchildren.
He is survived by his father, Alfred Isaac, and his siblings: Greg & Vietta Isaac, Rilla & Wayne Megli, Carsen & Brenda Isaac, Lyndon & Glenda Isaac, David & Jeanie Isaac, and Marsha & Doug Barkman. His in-laws include Brian Goossen (Calgary, AB), Angela & Mervin Wohlgemuth (Riding Mountain, MB), Gary & Ruth Goossen (Riding Mountain, MB), Carolin & Lyndale Penner (Fountain Run, KY), and Darrel & Jeanette Goossen (Riding Mountain, MB).
Services were held Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Bethel Pentecostal Church in Barrhead, Alberta. Bob was laid to rest at the Hazel Bluff Cemetery at Westlock, Alberta.
