Annie Simpson
January 11, 1926 - December 22, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Annie Simpson, of Jarvie,Alberta at the age of 98 years old.
She was born on January 11, 1926, in Debeslawce, Poland.
Annie is survived by her son, Keith (Linda); daughter, Karen (Jerry); daughter, Ellen (Greg); son Tom (Tammie); daughter, Lorrie (Corey); son George and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Lena (Noel) and her brothers Steve, Dan (Carol), and Jack (Phyllis); and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Ronald, her infant brother Peter, older brother George, and her sisters Mary and Stella.
Annie was known for her kind and gentle spirit, always lending a helping hand and offering a warm smile. Her greatest joys were her family and her home on the farm.
A gifted cook and baker, she was renowned for her delicious homemade meals, especially her yummy fruit pies, infamous Big Pancakes, fresh-baked bread, and cinnamon buns. Her kitchen was always the heart of the home, filled with the aroma of home cooking.
She was a dedicated and hardworking farm wife, ensuring her family was always provided for. Summers were spent tending to a bountiful garden, providing fresh produce for the table and preserving the harvest for the long winter months. Her children never went hungry, thanks to her tireless efforts and dedication.
Annie will be remembered for her unwavering love, her exceptional cooking skills, and her strong work ethic.
A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00am at the Jarvie Community Centre in Jarvie, Alberta. Interment to take place at Jarvie Cemetery in Jarvie,Alberta.
