“May the Lord Bless and Keep you Real Good!”
This telephone recording from Louise says it all. Louise went to the Hawaiian Islands from Westlock in her early twenty's with a husband and four young children. Instead of staying only a short while as she originally assumed, three more children arrived and they created a life-long home on Oahu. As the years passed Louise would make multiple trips back and forth to Canada keeping her diverse families and communities in touch. For many years she returned to Westlock to join her High School classmates for their annual luncheon reunion. We are all richer for her kindness, hospitality and knowledge. Her adventurous spirit carried her all over the world on missions of faith as well as missions of commitment, love and curiosity. Wherever she went, she created communities out of a wide variety of shared interests.Although our hearts are breaking we are also celebrating her freedom from a body and confinement that she could no longer control. We imagine her laughing and crying in joy as she celebrates in the long lasting reunion of all the loved ones who have passed before. Louise is predeceased by most of her family of origin, two husbands, and many other dear and close family and friends. She is survived by seven children, their spouses, 17 grandchildren and their spouses, 10 great grandchildren, one sister, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Celebrations of Life will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Kailua Church of the Nazarene, in Kailua, HI.
