November 22, 1934 - September 26, 2024
Jean Cameron passed away peacefully with family by
her side on September 26, 2024 in Athabasca, Alberta.
She is survived by her children Malcolm (Maria), Gail and
Neil (Daniela); grandchildren Sophie and Ashler; siblings
Rose (John), Maj (Luella), Regina (Leo), Cec (Gary) and
Dianna (Alicia), as well as numerous nieces, nephews,
extended family and friends. Jean was predeceased
by her beloved husband James; parents Stanley and
Sophie as well as siblings Michael and Arlene.
Jean was an avid gardener and loved to be busy. She
was very independent, managing her company and
personal affairs until recently. Jean was fastidiously
clean and tidy, generous and adored her family. Jean’s
legacy is one of self-sacrifice and commitment to her
family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and
loved her.
We wish to acknowledge her Family Physician,
Dr Klopper, and all the other Physicians, Nurses, Care
Aids and Support staff that were involved with her care
with her prolonged hospital stay and her final weeks.
Your tenderness and commitment to patient care was
greatly appreciated by Mom, and by ourselves. Thank
you.
A funeral service for Jean will take place on Wednesday
October 9th, 2024 at 2:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home
and Cemetery in Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations
can be made to St Gabriel’s Parish in Athabasca.
