Town proceeds with regular compost burning

1 / 1 The Town of Athabasca began it’s compost burning Jan. 15. Piles of branches and wood at the compost site near the river and the transfer site across the bridge were lit in order to dispose of the debris, a process that’s part of regular maintenance of the sites. According to the Town’s Alertable advisory, the fires will burn until all material is disposed of, which could take between seven and 10 days. Photos by Lexi Freehill/AA
