The 107A avenue rehabilitation project will be entering into phase 2 on April 30.
The project will involve excavation work throughout the avenue to replace some underground facilities. This phase will see an upgrade to the water main, sanitary sewer main, road structure, and asphalt surface, as well as a new concrete sidewalk with rolled face curb. The intersection on 103A street and 107A avenue will be closed or reduced during construction times.
Residents in the area are being told there is no street parking in the construction area and a temporary water service will be starting during this time. There will be no changes to the garbage, recycling and organics pickup for residents in the area.
This is just one of the rejuvenation projects that the town of Westlock has been working on with others currently in development.
The project is expected to be complete by September 2025.
