CLYDE - The alley behind the post office in Clyde will be bumped up in priority for snow removal. It will be moved to priority one from its current priority three.

The village clears its roadways in order of priority. Arterial roads, and roads used as school bus routes, are given priority one. Residential streets are priority two and back alleys as well as agricultural society operated property are priority three.

Coun. Danielle Dillman supported administration’s recommendation during the Village of Clyde's Public Policy and Priorities meeting on Sept.16 saying, “It is a vital roadway in the summer and winter.”

Mayor Charis Aguirre also said she was OK with moving the alley’s priority to a priority one.

“We can re-evaluate it next year,” she said.

The amendment will be brought before Clyde council at its next regular meeting in October.
