Busby man wanted

Devon RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating Busby resident Gary Fornahl-Bogden.

Devon RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating Busby resident Gary Fornahl-Bogden.

Fornahl-Bogden is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public following an incident inside a Devon bar on April 7. In the early morning hours, a Devon resident was stabbed and suffered serious injuries. He was treated in an Edmonton hospital.

Devon RCMP Sgt. Sonia Joyal said the incident remains under investigation, and Fornahl-Bogden is considered a prime suspect.

“We have enough evidence to request a warrant for his arrest, and we really need him to turn himself in,” Joyal said.

She added she was unable to provide any more information.

“I can’t go into too many details because we still have a few people we haven’t interviewed,” she said. “Sometimes people will include stuff they haven’t witnessed themselves, but what they hear.”

Joyal is asking anyone with information about the incident, or who knows where Fornahl-Bogden is, to contact Devon RCMP at 780-987-3413 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

In addition, she said anyone with information can contact Westlock RCMP at 780-349-4492, or any other police force in Alberta.

She’s also asking Fornahl-Bogden to turn himself in with any Alberta police force.
