Land Use Bylaw Amendment

Rezoning 10627 102 Street from

R3 (High Density Residential District) to C-H (Highway Commercial District)

What is Bylaw 2024-14?

Bylaw2024-14 is an amendment proposed by a landowner to the Town ofWestlock’s Land Use

Bylaw to change the zoning of 10627 102 Street from R3 (High Density Residential District)

to C-H (Highway Commercial District). This change is intended allow for the expansion of

the existing business on the adjacent parcel. A list of the uses in the current versus proposed

district is available for review.

 

TAKE NOTICE THAT in accordance with the Municipal Government Act, as amended, Council of the

Town of Westlock have established a Public Hearing date to rezone Lot B, Block 5, Plan 1281 KS from R3

(High Density Residential District) to C-H (Highway Commercial District).

Proposed Closure of Portion of Laneway

located South of 94 Street

What is Bylaw 2024-15?

Bylaw 2024-15 proposes the closure of a portion of the laneway located south of 94 Street

for the purposes of disposal. This portion of laneway is a bulb that is no longer needed in

the lanes alignment. No changes to access to the laneway are contemplated as part of the

proposed closure.

TAKE NOTICE THAT in accordance with the Municipal Government Act, as amended, Council of the

Town ofWestlock have established a Public Hearing date to consider the closure of a portion of the Lane

lying south of the north boundary of Lots 23 and 24, Block 7, Plan 242 _____.

Any member of the public may review the proposed bylaws and ask questions. Information is

available on the Town’s website under Local Notices or can be provided to you upon request.

Planning & Development staff can explain what is proposed, how it might impact you, and

how the public hearing process works.

Can I provide comments or attend the hearings?

If you wish to make a submission for Council’s consideration at the public hearings, written

submissions can be emailed to [email protected], mailed in, or dropped off in the drop

box at the Town Office on or before September 9. Please indicate on your submission

which bylaw on which you would like to comment. Instructions on how to attend the

Public Hearings are available within the Events Calendar on the Town’s website.
