Notice of Completion Municipal Public Works As required by the Municipal Government Act (MGA), the County of Barrhead hereby gives notice that construction of the following Public Works projects has been completed as of December 31, 2024. Road Construction • West of SW 5-5-4-W5 • West of 6 & 7-58-4-W5 • West of 23-61-3-W5 • South of SW 9, through 9, and South & East of SE 16-62-4-W5 Pursuant to Section 534 of the MGA, an owner of land that abuts land on which a public work or structure is situated is entitled to compensation from the municipality for injurious affection (the permanent lessening of or use of that person’s land caused by the public work or structure); and Within sixty (60) days after publication of this notice, the owner of land may file a claim with the municipality for compensation for injurious affection to their land. Such claim must state the amount claimed and particulars to prove the claim, and must be filed with the County Manager in writing, sent to 5306-49 Street, Barrhead, Alberta, T7N 1N5, not later than March 21, 2025.
