George Micheal Sebastian
July 4th, 1947 ~ October 25th, 2020
With sadness, we announce the passing of our father George Micheal Sebastian on Sunday, October 25, 2020. He was the youngest of 11 children born to Steve & Anne (née David) Sebastian. He was born on July 4, 1947, and grew up on the family farm near Serath, Sask where he also attended school. When George was 11 his family moved to Regina where he attended air cadets, made lifelong friends, earned his journeyman in plumbing, and started a family. From there George would chase his career and love of adventure all over western Canada and into the far reaches of the Northwest Territories. He was proud to serve his country alongside the Canadian military toward the end of his career and received an honorary medal for his service. George eventually settled and retired in Vimy, Alberta.
George is survived by daughter Christine Skaar (Gerard), grandson Kyle Mostat (Natasha), great-grandson Wesley. Granddaughter Samantha. Daughter Carla Sebastian, grandsons Joel & Jeffrey. Daughter Cary Twardy (Vince), grandson Owen & granddaughter Sarah. Sister Rose (Barry) Cox, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Westlock Funeral Home on Friday, Nov 6 at 11 am. Live stream option available in these uncertain times. Lunch to follow at the Legion. Social Distancing requirements per Alberta Health Services in place.
