Hanna Pricillia (Chatman) Seaward

October 14th, 1941 – July 3rd, 2024

In the early morning of July 3rd, 2024, Hanna Pricillia Seaward (82) of Cannings Cove, Newfoundland, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Athabasca Regional Hospital. Princie, daughter of Ambrose Chatman and Mary Elizabeth (Warren) Chatman, was a loving and loyal wife to Edmund Allan Seaward.

Princie is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Elizabeth (Warren) Chatman, Father, Ambrose Chatman, Brother, James “Uncle Jim” Chatman, daughter Valerie May Seaward, and son-in-law Robert Newhook.

She is survived by her Husband, Allan Seaward, and six children: Roger Seaward (Sharon), Sylvia Newhook, Debra Seaward (Tony), Jackie (Hank) Tizzard, Frankie (Gord) Strepaniuk, Kim (Darwin) Greentree, and her Eleven Grandchildren: Bobby, Melissa, Amanda, Kayla (Dusty), Shane, Natasha (Rob), Brad (Cami), Lloyd (Misty), Danielle (Micah), Caterina (Keisha), Tristan (Sam), as well as fourteen Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved Cat, Peanut.

Princie, Born in Cannings Cove, Newfoundland moved with her husband and children to Calgary, Alberta in 1970, where they raised their children in the hustling city life. Until 1986 when they packed up their lives and decided to move to the heart of the Shuswap, Salmon Arm, BC. Going from the busy city to a calm country mountain home, she loved the peace and quiet. Princie Lived an interesting life from Blasting her music, to strumming on her guitar, to beating the drums, she loved to party with her family and friends.

The Family of Princie would like to send their heartfelt thanks to all the Doctors and nurses who have done everything in their power to make her last days comfortable, and for being so supportive to the family. As well as everybody who took the time to send letters and messages of love and support.
