PECEK, Henry Victor
October 29, 1935 – January 11, 2021
It’s with profound sadness that the family of Henry V. Pecek announces his passing on Monday, January 11th at the age of 85 years.
Henry will be forever fondly remembered by his daughter Tammi (Glen), as well as his grandchildren Ryan (Brittany), Brandon (Jenni), Joshua (Eleni), Jonas and Meagan, his sister Bernice, and numerous other family, friends and neighbors.
He was predeceased by the love of his life, Joan in 1999, his son Jamie (Capricia) in 2018, his sister Christine and his parents, Henry A. and Katherine.
Henry spent the majority of his life living on and operating his family’s farm near Vimy, Alberta. He was his happiest when he was outdoors and working on the farm. He also loved spending time with his family, which often resulted in card and board games hitting the table, or bocci on the lawn (all of which he usually dominated in with a twinkle in his eye). Spending time having a coffee with his numerous friends and family was also a favorite pastime. And he was very involved with his community and church. He also enjoyed reading, watching current events and documentaries and Sudoku puzzles. Henry was a genuine and kind man who would give anyone the shirt off of his back, but he was also very hardworking and tough as nails.
Due to current restrictions no service will be held but the family hopes to be able to plan a celebration of Henry’s life at a future date.

The family wishes to send a special thank-you to Dr. Benard and the other doctors and staff at the Westlock Healthcare Centre, including the kitchen staff who he often said were spoiling him with great meals.
