Ronald Clayton McIntyre

Ronald died peacefully at his home with his loved ones by his side, June 15, 2024, at the age of 80.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Susan; daughter Kimberly (Lyle); granddaughters, Bailey & Abbigail from Westlock; son, Trevor (Tiffany); granddaughters, Mackenzie and Riley from Calgary; sister, Elsie; brother, Ben; sister, Darlene; brother-in-law, Jay, and many special nieces & nephews. Papa’s friends Klutch, Kevin, Maple, & Kenai will miss him dearly.

Ron & Sue married August 1965, in Saskatoon. At that time, Ron was working as a Mason, until 1968, when they decided to join Ben & Hilda in the booming, mining town, Uranium City, where he worked as a Millright Underground Foreman until 1977. Then he started McIntyre Trucking Company, until 1983, when the mine closed. That is when Ron & Sue began their new life in Westlock where they started R&R McIntyre Oil & Agri. Sales, until he retired in 2001. Over the years he was grateful for all the people he got to know. During his retirement he got to enjoy all his favourite things from spending time with his granddaughters, hunting & fishing with his buddies, golfing with friends & family, wood working, comparing gardens with neighbours, and floor curling.

We think about you always,
We talk about you still,
You have never been forgotten,
You never will.
We hold you close within out hearts
And there you will remain,
To walk and guide us through our lives,
Until we meet again.

There will be a private family gathering held at a future date to celebrate Ronald.

Memorial donations can be made on Ronald’s behalf to the Canadian Tractor Museum.

Condolences may be shared at www.westlockfuneralhome.com.
