It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lexah Lydia Makey, who left us on May 14, 2024, at the tender age of 5. Lexah’s vibrant spirit and cheerful energy touched everyone she met. Her joy for life was most evident in her love for bright colors and her fondness for sleeping surrounded by her beloved teddy bears. Lexah brought warmth and happiness to all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
Lexah is survived by her loving parents, Megan and Alex Makey; her siblings, Bekah, Noah, and Wrex; her Grandpa and Grandma, Dan and Diane Makey; her Nana and Papa, Marilyn and Brad Pearson; her Gido and Baba, Kelvin and Leanne Badduik; her Uncle Adam (Aubrie) Badduik, Auntie Baili (Ally) Badduik-Strickland, Auntie Shaylene Pearson, and Uncle Jason Makey; as well as numerous other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
A Celebration of Lexah’s Life took place Saturday, May 25, 2024.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the bystanders that took action while waiting for emergency crews to arrive, 1st Responders, (Westlock RCMP, Westlock County Fire Services & Westlock Fire Services, EMS & STARS), and to Westlock Hospital Emergency Staff.

Lexah’s memory will forever live on in our hearts.
