Hellen Kay Crosbie was born at home in Brantford, Ontario on May 16th, 1936 to Robert & Evilyn Crosbie. Mom passed peacefully not quite one day after celebrating her 88th birthday with loved ones.

Kay began her nursing career at the Toronto General Hospital in 1958, and came west to Two Hills,AB. Mom has nursed at Willingdon AB, the U of A Hospital, Frobisher Bay, N.W.T.while raising a family of three, Port Burwell, Labrador, Brantford, Ont., and finally wrapping up her career in palliative care in Edmonton.

Kay had great friends & many a great experience through out her life. She owned & lived on a sailboat in the Caribbean for a couple of years.Through life’s journeys she would find a friend in God & this relationship would bring her peace & contentment. Mom & Patrick would put on many a family meal that was so elegant & special it would be welcomed by Royalty, we all loved & enjoyed their kind pleasure of love.

Kay is survived by her loving husband Patrick of 30 yrs, one sister Jessie Osborne of St. George, Ont., her 3 children: Robert Toma (Jacqueline) of Dapp, Margaret Toma (Dennis) of Dapp,Kathie Charlton (Greg) of Sherwood Park; Grandchildren, Lauren (Fedir), Nolan, & Sydney, and many dear friends & family through out the land. Kay’s family wish to thank the many care providers over the past few years, particularly the terrific staff at the Smithfield Lodge,Westlock, and the nursing care provided by the staff at the Westlock Hospital & Long Term Care… Thank you.
