Dianne KOCHAN
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dianne Gail Kochan, of Fawcett, AB, on October 13, 2024, at the age of 71.
Dianne was born on April 15, 1953, in Edmonton, AB and grew up on the family farm in Flatbush, AB. She was hardworking her entire life and could often be found outside either in her garden, her greenhouse, playing mechanic or doing chores. She had a love for all things plant and animal related, enjoyed canning and took enormous pride in her immaculate garden and flowerbeds.
Dianne treasured her family and enjoyed all the time she had with them. She leaves behind her partner George Hnatiuk, sons Glen (Tia) and Cameron (Tammy) and daughter Chelsey, along with 8 grandchildren, Dustin, Caitlin, Bradey, Keean, Sam, Keena, Dean and Rylynn and many special nieces & nephews, all of which brought immense joy and pride into her life.
Dianne grew up with 3 siblings and was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Geraldine, sister Darlene, brother Ron and sister-in-law Kathy. She is survived by her brother Jim and sister-in-law Valerie.
Dianne was thoughtful, outgoing and always put the needs of everyone else above her own. She had an emphatic laugh and opened her arms and heart to many. She will forever be remembered for simply being her; one of a kind, but in the best way.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Westlock Funeral Home. The family invites you to join them after the service for light snacks and refreshments at the Westlock Inn.
