Shirly (Shank) Coles
December 5, 1946 - November 8, 2024
Shirly went home to join her Lord and Savior on November 8, 2024, at 77 years young, following a 7 year battle with Parkinson’s & Lewy Body Dementia.
She lives on through her family: Daughters; Geraldine (Mike) Long, Robyn (Lorne) Witter, Grandchildren; Austin Witter (Sienne), Megan (Tyson) Lallier, Colten Witter (Violet) & Billy Long, Siblings; Reo, Gary (Donna), Ron (Yvette), Ian (Lois), Neal, Rick (Donna), Caren (Walter Mueller), Robert & numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Shirly was predeceased by her children, Jennifer & Bill, and her parents,Albert & Eva, and several other family members.
Shirly loved her family immensely. She will be remembered by her strong-willed nature, quick wit and her love for cooking, painting, and her creativity, especially with flowers.
Our family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. Tu & the Westlock Continuing Care Staff, especially those who teased her and remembered the small but important little things that made her feel special and loved.
The Vigil will be held at 7 pm, on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Westlock Funeral Home, 10004 105 ST, Westlock,AB.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be officiated by her brother, Father Neal Shank CSSP, at 1 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 10020 100 AVE, Westlock,AB.
