Lester Kindt

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Lester Kindt, of Barrhead, AB, at 85 years. On April 2, 2025, he went home to be with his Lord.

He was born in Nanton, AB, on November 19, 1939, and grew up in Edmonton, AB. Lester would get restless and love to move which resulted in him living in many different places and having many different jobs. Some included baking, Gold Mine in Yellowknife, farming, and security jobs. His last years were spent in Barrhead – playing crib and aggravation with anyone who’d play.

Lester is survived by his loving wife, of 23 years, Connie; children, Susan Peters, Barb (Archie) Hodgins, Shirley Wilson (Ed), and Ben (Joni) Kindt; grandchildren; Rebekah (Larry), Daniel (Pearl), Rachel (Nathan), Sarah, Angela, Lyle (Kelsey), Felicia (Shawn), Caitlin, Charlene, Kyle, Zackery (Brié Enna), Taylor (Taylor), Noah, Kendra, Ty, Lina, Judah, and Simeon; great-grandchildren, Ava, Evangeline, Larry, Astrid, Max, Eziah, Xavier, Theodore, Oliver, Jack, Abigail, Jared, Kolten, Myah, Ivy, Sophia, Jaxxon, Jaymii, and Oliver; siblings, Betty and Norman.

Stepchildren, Cheryle (Calvin) Robinson, Yvonne (Craig) Piercy, Lora (Wade) Williams; grandchildren, Candace (Johnny), Cherise, Cole (Jesy), Dennis (Montana), Riley (Ally), Raelyn (Derek); great-grandchildren, Khloe, Blaze, Makayla, Georgia, Drake, Victor, Harley, Aiden, Jesse, Rudy, Brooklyn, and Hunter.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Olive Kindt, and children, baby boy, and daughters, Sandra and Bridgette. Danton Peters, James Barr, and Abe Peters.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at Barrhead Bethel Pentecostal Church. Burial was held earlier at Belvedere Community Cemetery with Pastor Ben Kellert officiating.
