GAMBLE, HERBERT JAMES (JIM)
Jim was born August 13, 1934, in Lavoy, AB. After several moves and jobs, he finally settled in the Westlock area. After a brief illness, he passed away on October 7, 2024, at the age of 90.
Jim took over the family farm in the fall of 1975 and continued to farm until the spring of 2017. In April of this year, he moved to Smithfield Lodge.
He was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Lizzie Gamble, wife Linda, granddaughter Danielle, great-granddaughter Brenna, and sister-in-law Jean.
Left to mourn are his family and friends.
Thank you to the Staff and Homecare at Smithfield for their wonderful care of Dad and for sharing his wacky sense of humour. Also, thank you to Dr. Mydeen and his Staff for their care over the years. Thank you to the Staff on the East Wing for making Dad’s last days comfortable.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Westlock Memorial Hall.
