DARLENE PATRICIA COMPTON (NEE CRAIG)
April 24, 1934 – Nov 24, 2023
Her heart was as big as the prairie sky under which she was born near Cutknife Creek, in a log cabin her father built & lived off the land for 8 years. Then she lived in Barrhead.
She leaves 3 daughters, Tracy, Terry and Jill (Compton), a son-in-law, Wayne & two beloved grandchildren, Odile & Sebastian.
She travelled the world. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Naval Vets & the Spiritualist Society. She was very competitive enjoying many awards, hole in ones, perfect curling games and had a pin for a perfect bowling game. She was part of the team that started Glen Eden Ski Hill. She played piano by ear and performed for many years with her partner Al. She loved to sing, fish, play cards, garden and initiated many social events for her fellow seniors.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no service, at her request.
Darlene believed that when you pass it’s the memories that you leave behind that count, & for that she was proud. She leaves a large extended family in Saskatchewan & Alberta.
