Robert Sidney George ROWLAND
April 27, 1944 – February 3, 2025
With a heart full of laughter, and a spirit that never stopped teasing, Robert Sidney George Rowland passed away at the age of 80. He married the love of his life, Maureen Rowland (nee Ryan), on December 28, 1964. They welcomed a son, Carey Rowland, and a daughter, Lisa Rowland into their life, and together they built a home filled with love, joy, and cherished memories.
Robert brought laughter, mischief, and warmth to everyone who knew him, always ready with a joke and a smile.” With quick wit, a kind heart, and playful teasing, he continuously brought smiles to everyone who knew him.
Robert leaves behind wife, Maureen; his two children, Carey Rowland (Cavell), and Lisa Rowland (Mark); his grandchildren, Matthew Rowland, Joshua Rowland, Samantha Rowland, Karla Gutek (Greg), Graham Christensen (Arlene); his great-grandchildren, Charley-Mae Gutek, Marshal Gutek, and Skyler Christensen.
He was predeceased by his mother, Helen Rowland (nee Paquette); father, Edward Rowland; baby sister, Linda Rowland; eldest sister, Shirley Campbell; son-in-law, Michael Sampson; and grand son-in-law, Bradley Gutek.
Robert leaves behind his brothers; Richard Rowland (Jeanne), Rollie Rowland (Marlene), his sisters; Audrey Thibert (Gerald), Mary Chernesky (Richard), Emilia Matlock (George), Cindy Howard (Don), Linda Cole (Doug); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held in the summer of 2025; exact date to be determined.
