Joseph (Joe or Joey) William Bala
August 16, 1962 – December 24, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Joseph Bala of Barrhead, Alberta on December 24, 2023. Joe grew up on a farm in the Rochfort Bridge area and attended school in Barrhead at the School of New Hope. Joe and his siblings enjoyed summers at their grandparents in the Rimbey area or at their Uncle and Aunts dairy farm. As an adult Joe made Barrhead his home where he worked at several jobs over the years and had his own small business for several years doing yard work.
Joe was predeceased by his parents Peter and Iris Bala as well as three siblings: Peter, Ted and Tony and his brother-in-law Ted Augustyn.
Joe is survived by his sister Debbie Augustyn, and brothers Steven Bala, Allen Bala and James Bala.
Joe will be greatly missed by his family, friends, Blue Heron Support Services staff and the many people who worked with him or knew him over the years.
A memorial service will be held at Blue Heron Support Services on January 18, 2024 at 1:30 pm.
