Patients are arriving at the Westlock hospital in an Alberta Health Services Multi-Patient Vehicle, which is operated by a provincial team based out of Edmonton known as Incident Response Paramedic. This group is specially trained for HALO (High Acuity Low Occurence) events and is available to respond province wide as needed.

Staff at the Westlock Healthcare Centre were asked to prepare to take in a large influx of people due to a tent collapse at the Westlock Meditation Centre earlier today.

As a result of the collapse, one person died, and several others were injured, the Alberta RCMP said in a release.

The Westlock hospital went into "code orange" status, which means they were prepared to take in a large influx of people, according to staff at the hospital.
