Athabasca-Barrhead-Westlock residents should soak in the sun while they still can this evening, before an overcast Saturday rolls in.
Temperatures hit the mid-to-high teens on Friday, but sadly won’t hang around for one last fall weekend. Saturday morning should be cooler, with a high of 6 C and a low of 1. There’s a 30 per cent chance of showers later in the afternoon, so dress accordingly if you check out a Christmas market or other outside activity later in the day. Temps may drop as low as -3 overnight.
Fittingly, the sun will be back for Sunday, although the warmth will remain in hiding. Residents can expect a high of 4 C as they enjoy their weekend, but may want to be prepared for a cooler wind. The overnight low could get as cold as -3 C.
Remembrance Day will be much of the same, with a high of 5 and an overnight low of -7 C, so be prepared if you’re attending an outdoor ceremony. Experts expect a 30 per cent chance of showers throughout the day.
Sunrise will take place around 7:50 a.m. each morning, and the sunset will occur at 4:41 p.m.
