Every December the Westlock News asks area schools to submit the letters their students write to Santa — this year the letters appeared in the Dec. 13 and 20 print editions. Here’s a sampling of what they wrote.
Pembina North Community School Letters to Santa - Grade 3
Dear Santa, How are you and Mrs. Claus and the elves and the reindeer? I hope you are all doing well. I hope Rudolf’s nose is still shining. I hope you like the chocolate we gave you last year. This year I would like Barbie dolls and clothes, art supplies, colouring books, Playdoh, colouring pages and colouring frames with pictures of animals that you can colour. I also wonder how old you and Mrs. Claus are? P.S. Also I was in a rush and I forgot to ask for some other presents. I am really sorry if I am asking for too much. Could I have an iPad that can do games, short stories for kids, shows and other stories with head phones. Thank you so much for everything Santa. I would like leg wraps for Duke and Rusty, beads for my hair, earrings shaped like a horse shoe, a horse necklace, Rudolph earrings, a pony halter for Jasper, Nerds, Tic-tac’s, a pencil holder for my desk, art stuff that’s not paint or glue, colourful paper, Black Beauty, the One and Only Bob, Puppy Place Mocha and Coco, a lava lamp, a puppy, a collar, a leash, dog coat, 3D pen, hair dye that does not stay in for a month, scented markers, crayons, white paper, tape, a light for my nails, sketching pencils, squishy, paint pens, puppy earrings, bear earrings, mouse earrings, Lego, Dots, Mentos that are not minty, gummy worms, gummy bears, gumballs , candy necklace, MP3 player, horse sweater and a Rudolph book mark. Dear Santa, How are you? I already put my Christmas tree up. I hope your reindeer are good. Could you ask Mrs. Claus if she could make some treats for my family? My family has 7 people but 2 of them are one year old and a couple months. This is what I would like to get: a mini iPad, some mystery books where people have to find animals good homes, mini Squishmallow, cozy socks, art materials, Lego friends, warm leggings, cozy t-shirts, new sweaters and for my whole entire family I would like a new foosball table because we had one but then it broke and dad and mom got one last year.
