Every December the Westlock News asks area schools to submit the letters their students write to Santa — this year the letters appeared in the Dec. 13 and 20 print editions. Here’s a sampling of what they wrote.

I would like to give you a hug. Did you have a good day? How is Mrs. Claus doing? This year I would like to have a squishmallow, a giant bag of marshmallows, stressball, and a unicorn stuffy. Can you give my dog Keta a present?

I want a puppy for Christmas. I’ve been good and bad this year. I like to sleep in my bed. I am tired on Christmas because my brothers wake me and my dog jumps on me. I went to the Telus World of Science. How many toys do you deliver? Do your reindeer actually eat carrots? My dog is named Clover and she loves to destroy snowmen. She escaped our home and destroyed all the snowmen on our street.
