Adarius Pickett has started taking significant steps forward in his preparation for the 2025 CFL season. The veteran linebacker started sprinting this week as part of his off-season workouts.

TORONTO — CFL teams will have more money to spend on bolstering their rosters in 2025. The league announced Wednesday that its salary cap this season has been set at just over $6.06 million. That's up significantly from last year's limit of $5.

REGINA — Canadian Tevaughn Campbell is back with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The six-foot, 200-pound defensive back re-signed with the CFL club Monday following six seasons in the NFL. Campbell, a Toronto native, played with the Riders in 2016-17.

TORONTO — Wynton McManis will help the Toronto Argonauts defend their Grey Cup title. The veteran linebacker re-signed with the CFL club Sunday, less than an hour after the league's free-agent window opened.

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — Former TCU receiver Jack Bech caught the winning touchdown pass and was named MVP of the Senior Bowl on Saturday, a month after his older brother was among 14 killed in the deadly pickup truck attack in New Orleans .

WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-signed star receiver Dalton Schoen to a one-year contract on Saturday. The six-foot-one, 210-pound Schoen returns to Winnipeg for a fourth season after being limited to three games due to a knee injury in 2024.

VANCOUVER — The B.C. Lions and Nathan Rourke finalized an agreement to restructure the quarterback’s contract, the team announced on Friday.

TORONTO — John Huard, who guided the Acadia Axemen to two Vanier Cup titles and later served as head coach of the CFL's Toronto Argonauts, has died. He was 80. The Argos confirmed Huard's passing Thursday but the cause of death was not divulged.
