The Town of Barrhead held its annual Family First Night celebrations at the Agrena on Dec. 31.
Festivities included a free hot dog barbeque hosted by the Barrhead Regional Fire Services, free skating and showing of the movie Frozen on the ice rink, a wishing tree, the making of corn husk dolls with the help of Nature Alive, and face painting. Next door, at the aquatics centre, there was also a Toonie Swim. The evening concluded with a 15-minute fireworks display.
