BOYLE — Village of Boyle councillors will gather in the municipal building for one last meeting before November turns into December and the start of a new year gets one month closer.
The Nov. 20 meeting will begin with two delegations from community groups; first up is Peter Golanski presenting a year-end update on the Boyle Fitness Centre with a request for financial support for councillors to consider during budget deliberations.
Lindsey Stanton from the Greater Athabasca Community Foundation (GACF) will have the floor following Golanski. Stanton will be in front of councillors with a formal request for a land donation and placement approval for a new playground.
Boyle RCMP Detachment commander Sgt. Dennis Properzi won’t be in attendance in person, but councillors will have a chance to review the detachment’s Q2 report, which covers enforcement priorities, crime stats from July to September, and information on the new body worn camera’s expected to be rolled out across the province in the coming months.
Boyle’s council meetings begin at 7 p.m. and are open to the public. A digital copy of the meeting agenda can be found here.
