BOYLE — The Boyle Healthcare Centre will be without physician coverage during the day on Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29.
The weekend daytime closures will run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on both days, and are in addition to the ongoing nightly closures from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.
Registered nurses will remain available on site to triage and assess patients presenting to the village emergency department. Individuals in need of urgent care will be referred to nearby emergency departments.
Boyle residents experiencing medical emergencies are asked to call 911 for assistance, and EMS will remain available in the area to ensure emergency services are accessible.
Locals can also contact 811 for non-emergency healthcare inquiries on a 24/7 basis. Patients referred to the William J. Cadzow Healthcare Centre in Lac La Biche may be made aware of services available through local pharmacies, depending on patient needs.
If physician coverage is found for Saturday and Sunday, the temporary closure may be altered or lifted.
