ATHABASCA — Residents on the East Hill can expect to be without water until 9 p.m., and potentially into Friday.

Town crews began working on the break this morning, Dec. 19, and work was expected to be finished by this evening, with leeway for complications.

In an update through its advisory app, the town said crews are still working on the break, which has resulted in no water services for 42 and 43 Streets. Service shut off could continue overnight and into tomorrow.

The town is asking drivers to avoid travel in the area of 43 Street due to equipment and crews on site.
