‘Helping Horses Heal’ is a non-profit organization in Athabasca. Dee Lambert is the woman in business who saw a need for abused and unwanted horses and opened her doors with open arms for equine refuge and rehabilitation.
When a horse is brought to her, they go through a healing process for horse lameness issues with a variety of therapies for injury rehabilitation, hoof care, and more. After the horses are rehabilitated, they may become available for foster and adoption depending on temperament.
Helping Horses Heal is not the only venture Dee is rooted to. This entrepreneurial spirited lady is relaunching her home-based embroidery shop, all things equine related, if you are looking for custom embroidery items Dee has the expertise and equipment to assist you.
Her advice to women in business or the entrepreneurial spirit is, “when you open your doors, open them with open arms. Be in business because you have a passion for the business.
Dee can be contacted through her Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/Helpinghorsesheal, for further assistance.
