WESTLOCK – A 52-year-old Rochester man has been arrested following proactive patrols by Westlock RCMP near Vimy on Jan. 27.
According to police, they stopped a vehicle near Township Road 590, and in the investigation, they found that Jason Brian Munn was failing to comply with his release order conditions.
During the traffic stop, RCMP seized approximately 237.1 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 90.08 grams of suspected cocaine, 2.6 grams of suspected fentanyl, suspected codeine pills and an assortment of drug paraphernalia.
Munn was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, opioids and cocaine, and failing to comply with release order conditions. He was also given a violation ticket for being unable to produce a drivers license.
Munn was brought before a Justice of the Peace and remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear in Westlock Court of Justice on Jan. 29.
Police say their investigation is ongoing and thank community members for their assistance so far.
