WESTLOCK — Two suspects in a truck who fled the scene after a traffic stop, injuring an officer in Athabasca Oct. 25 were spotted this afternoon, Oct. 27, east of Westlock.
At about 7 p.m. on Oct. 27, Westlock RCMP received a report of the vehicle involved in the incident in Athabasca Friday and were told the two men and the truck were at Petro Canada Gas station between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Oct. 27, near Clyde.
If anyone has any information on the suspects, or who they may be, they are asked to call Athabasca RCMP at 780-675-5122.
The vehicle, a white 4 door F-150 around 2009-2014 model might have possible damage to the right mirror, right headlight, and right door.
On Friday Oct. 25, an RCMP member initiated a traffic stop on a white Ford F-150 following a suspicious vehicle complaint. The driver, who appeared impaired, refused to provide the officer with identification. A hunting rifle was visible between the driver and his male passenger.
After the officer attempted to arrest the driver, the pick-up truck fled. The officer sustained minor injuries but was otherwise okay
People are asked to call police if either the two men or truck is seen and to not approach.
