CLYDE – The Village of Clyde passed a bylaw allowing them to use appeal board members from Westlock County if needed.

On Sept. 9, during their regular meeting, Clyde council unanimously passed the bylaw to join with Westlock County in an Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (ISDAB) agreement.

“The [SDAB] board doesn’t meet often so it’s needed,” said Mayor Charis Aguirre.

Clyde’s Chief Administrative Officer Jaye Parrent said the issue was brought to the forefront recently after the village received an appeal in July to a development permit of an eight-unit residential building.

Last year the village had passed a bylaw allowing Westlock County SDAB members to sit on Clyde's SDAB if needed.

Last month, Westlock County council unanimously approved a bylaw for the creation of the Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (ISDAB) agreement with the Village of Clyde.
