BREAKING: Westlock RCMP actively searching for young man involved in several break-ins

Westlock RCMP are looking for a young man in relation to several attempted break-and-enters in the Town of Westlock Thursday morning, Oct. 17

Westlock RCMP are actively looking for a young man believed to be responsible for several incidents in the Town of Westlock and are asking the public to call police if he is spotted.

RCMP noted an increase in attempted break-and-enter incidents in town the morning Oct. 17, and say a young man, about 20 years old is breaking into properties and attempting to steal bikes, scooters and other items. 

When confronted he has raised his fists as though to assault the person, and is reported to have a knife.

Police said the suspect approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds, wearing blue jeans, a red and black plaid coat, a Toronto Blue Jays baseball hat and a carrying a black backpack. He may be on a bicycle.

RCMP say do not attempt to interrupt a crime in progress or approach any suspicious person(s) or vehicles and to call 911 for any activity in progress and mention the call is in response to a RAVE alert.
