BREAKING: Female taken to hospital after being found in distress at Long Island RV Resort

At 11:17 p.m. STARS Ambulance tweeted they had been dispatched for an inter-facility transfer in the Westlock, Alta. area.

WESTLOCK- Westlock RCMP is investigating after a female was found in distress and requiring medical attention near the Long Island RV Resort in Westlock County on Saturday night.

On Sept. 7 at around 9:15 p.m. RCMP received a call that a woman was found in distress at Range Road 254a and Township Road 634 and in need of medical assistance, said Cpl. Gina Slaney, media relations officer for the Alberta RCMP. The 911 caller said there was someone at the scene, possibly a nurse, providing medical assistance to the female. 

The female was taken to a local hospital, and at 11:17 p.m., STARS Ambulance tweeted they had been dispatched for an inter-facility transfer in the Westlock, Alta. area.

The incident is under investigation by the RCMP.
