You Need To See This Beautiful Alberta Campground That’s Open All Year

If you're on the hunt for year-round campgrounds in Alberta, you've officially found what you're looking for.
10-1 Riverbend

Who says camping is just for summer? If you're someone who loves camping in your RV or trailer, you know there's no such thing as camping season. If you pick the right campground, you can camp all year long. Riverbend Campground is located in Okotoks, Alberta. If you're unfamiliar, Okotoks is a town in the Calgary Metropolitan Area, so it's just a quick drive out of the city.

Riverbend is a lovely campground that is family owned and operated. Naturally, it's totally kid friendly. Located on the banks of the Sheep River, you'll get to dwell within parkland, marshland, and riverbanks all at once. Because of the unique locations, you'll have a wide range of campsites to choose from. There's something for everyone here, from no-service tenting sites to full-service RV sites.

The gorgeous and scenic location offers wildlife spotting, walks along three beautifully-maintained nature trails, and many relaxing spots to gaze out over the water. As for amenities, Riverbend has washrooms, laundry, wi-fi, and a store onsite. There are also playgrounds for kids, beach volleyball, mini-golf, paddle boats, and more. It's genuinely impossible to get bored while staying here. The best part about it is that you feel completely remote while only 20 km away from Calgary. If you're visiting from far away, you can head east to check out the city or drive west to visit the iconic Rocky Mountains for the day. No matter the time of year, this fantastic location will offer endless opportunities for sightseeing and activities.

While winter camping may not be for everyone, it can be a uniquely relaxing and beautiful experience if you've got the proper setup. If winter feels like a stretch, consider trying it in fall or spring. Without the summer hustle and bustle, you're sure to get caught up on reading, rest, and all the best things in life.

Riverbend has a ton of options for campers. From daily rates up to long-term stays of three months or more. Can you picture a cooler way to live in Alberta for a few months? While Okotoks may seem random, you really can't beat being right in the middle of Calgary and Banff.

So, where will you be parking your RV next?
