Notice of Public Hearing Summer Village of Bondiss Municipal Development Plan (Bylaw 6-24) and Land Use Bylaw (Bylaw 5-24) Pursuant to Sections 216, 606, and 692 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, c. M-26, as amended, the Council of the Summer Village of Bondiss hereby gives notice of its intention to consider for adoption Bylaw No. 6-24, the Summer Village of Bondiss Municipal Development Plan and Bylaw No. 5-24, the Summer Village of Bondiss Land Use Bylaw. The purpose of proposed Bylaw 6-24 is to adopt a Municipal Development Plan for the Summer Village of Bondiss. The Municipal Government Act requires all municipalities in Alberta to adopt a Municipal Development Plan; currently, the Summer Village does not have an approved Municipal Development Plan. The purpose of Bylaw 5-24 is to adopt a new Land Use Bylaw for the Summer Village of Bondiss, which would replace the Summer Village’s current Land Use Bylaw (Bylaw 01-98, as amended). The proposed new Land Use Bylaw has been prepared to be consistent with the goals and policies of the proposed Municipal Development Plan, and incorporates recent changes to provincial legislation regarding subdivision, development, and appeals. Both proposed bylaws have been prepared based on input from the Summer Village Council,Administration, and community residents. Section 216 of the Municipal Government Act, RSA 2000, c M-26, requires that a public hearing of the proposed bylaws be held before the second reading of the bylaws. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT pursuant to the Municipal Government Act a public hearing to consider the two proposed bylaws will be held as follows: Date and Time: Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 7:00 PM Format: Virtual via Zoom (a link to join will be available on the Summer Village’s website) www.bondiss.com AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE THAT anyone wishing to make a verbal and/or written presentation may do so at the public hearing. All persons wishing to make an oral presentation at the hearing will be provided the opportunity to do so. It would be beneficial for individuals to provide advance notice to Kim Bancroft, Chief Administrative Officer for the Summer Village of Bondiss at [email protected] of their intention to make a presentation at the hearing and to provide any written submissions before 3:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2024.
