My best friend is gone! Walter Edward Waddle passed away on February 11, 2020, just one month shy of his 82nd birthday. Walter is survived by his wife of 56 years and 7 months, Heather; son, Craig of Barrhead; granddaughters; Stephanie Waddle of Barrhead; Ariel Lynn of Sherwood Park; grandson, Kieran Lynn of Sherwood Park; son-in-law, Danny Lynn of Sherwood Park; brothers; David (Marleen) of Sherwood Park and Melvin (Helen) of West Vancouver, BC; brother-in-law, Jacques Lefebvre (Diane) of Hughenden; sister-in-law, Marti Westergaard of Lady Smith, BC; as well as numerous other family and many dear friends. Walter is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Christina; his beloved daughter, Brenda Lynn; sister and brother-in-law, Alva and Corneluis Bergen; sister, Alice in childhood; sister-in-law, Gail Lefebvre; brother-in-law, Graham Westergaard; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at 1 p.m. from Rose Garden Chapel, Barrhead, AB with Rev. David Pype officiating. Donations gratefully accepted directly to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
